Last leg of the trip we stayed in Portland. I think I envisioned a ‘crunchy’ city. Like hippy, granola, hemp shirt wearing people. Instead, we saw a lot of homelessness. Lots and lots and lots and lots. The city felt a bit broken. I hope it finds it’s heart and heals. There was still a bit of love we can give this city. The food, that was legit. The hotel was also a super stay!
We did find a fun little peculiar museum (The Peculiarium) that did bring a bit of what I expected from Portland. As you can tell, we fit right in. :)
We also hit up the largest locally owned bookstore chain as well!
Lastly, we try to stay in a nice hotel the last night and this one didn’t disappoint. Lillian and Natalie lived it up! See you later Pacific Northwest. You were truly the adventure we needed, not only wanted. What a view! Until next time.
