New England Part III

As you could tell from New England Part II we were ready to get back to adventuring pretty early.

We couldn’t be this close and not see New York so we saw the city from a distance on our way to Jersey and stopped by Liberty State Park for the BEST VIEW ever.  We didn’t get a chance to see the Statue of Liberty the first time we came so this was a nice check box moment for the family. New York again didn’t disappoint us.  Even from afar, it’s beautiful.  Totally made up for the day before.

I mean, look at this majestic beauty!

After taking in the view for a while we headed to a local New Jersey Diner.  How fitting for Jersey!

New York, here we come.  We spent the majority of the morning and early afternoon in one of the coolest, most iconic, amusement park ever – Coney Island.  It was everything I thought that area would be.  It was epic.  We ate Nathan’s, put our hands in the Atlantic and partook in the Coney Island experience.

My Great Grandpa built roller coasters, and for a while back in the day, his roller coaster, the cyclone, was at Coney.  This one was inspired by a different architect but it’s cool to think, my great grandpa had a hand in the history here and that I was able to walk around somewhere he was.  That’s pretty special.
