The last week of school Lillian’s class hosted an ice cream social to celebrate the end of their year together. Ms. Erickson did a great job of recognizing each child in her class and even gave them each a book that she bought specifically for each child based on their interest or characteristics. Lillian has had no problem showing her teacher that she thinks she’s the best and her teacher definitely knows of Lillian’s adoration for her, so when it was time for Lillian to receive her book she got one about having a favorite teacher. :)
While the kids fixed their sundaes her teacher played a video of all the pictures she had collected over the year and put it to music. It was so sweet to see how much they had changed and all the projects they did in their class and field day, etc. It was a great gift!
Also, as I was walking down the hall I noticed some artwork in the school that caught my eye… and then I noticed one of those masterpieces was Lillian’s!
I am really glad that Lillian had such a great first year experience in her big school. Thank goodness for good teachers! I couldn’t have picked a better fit for her.
