Our Fancy Dinner

This whole school year Lillian has had stellar grades and we told her that we would take her out to a fancy dinner one day for all her hard work.  A few weeks ago we did just that.  We made reservations, got our selves all fancied up and had a night out.  We decided on The Melting Pot because it was fancy (duh! ;)) but it also seemed like it would be a fun experience. We were right on both accounts.  Usually, you don’t want to take kids to a place like this because it takes about 2+ hours to eat but the munchkins were awesome!  The waitress even commented on how well behaved our kids are and how refreshing it was so see kids so well-mannered.  Matt and I gave each other a mental high 5 at that point. ;)

We had 4 awesome courses.  We started off with the cheese fondue where we were able to dip apples, bread, and other wonderful goodies.  Next came the salad course which Lillian inhaled but the little bit I was able to fight her for was really good. The main course we had shrimp, lobster, chicken, tuna and steak to feast on and our final course we had a white chocolate, milk chocolate mix for our dip.  It goes without mention that the girls enjoyed the dessert course the most!

We toasted to our night and not only celebrated Lillian’s good grades but also Matt’s new job offer.  As you can see, we had some awesome things to celebrate.  We left there very full and exhausted!  Our two little princesses fell asleep on the way home; totally done with their fancy dinner out.
