New Years 2023

2023, you were weird. Long and short at the same time.  The year started off a bit of a downer with Matt’s work deciding that remote work was no longer an option, so Matt spent a good portion of the year looking for a role that would allow him to remain remote.  Luckily, he found it, and we both agree it’s an excellent fit.

In March, I was able to go on a bucket list trip to India. I will never forget that experience.

We spent the Summer moving my mom to Flower Mound.  The great migration of the Traver/Ross clan is officially done!

We went on a few pretty cool trips this year too. Two to be exact; South Carolina to visit colleges for Lillian (yep, it’s real!) a road trip to New Mexico to visit Emily and Nichole.

Music concerts, live theater, and even an NHL game were a must this year and we took advantage of the proximity of Dallas to see many of our favorite artists play live.

Natalie officially became a teenager, on paper.  She has always felt older to us.  Her last year of middle school has gone smoothly and I know she’s ready to get to high school.  She’s also made herself some pretty good friends!

Lillian had her first prom, got her license, a car, and entered her senior year.  Lots of milestones!

Here’s going into 2024 with optimism that there will be a lot more highs than lows in the next 365 days.
