After a night’s rest, we packed up, said bye to Montana, and started to drive to Wyoming. We planned the trip so we would be driving through Yellow Stone before landing at our final stop of the day. Holy wow! We were like, “Man, we like Montana. We could visit here again” and then we went to Wyoming and we were like “Man, we think we like Wyoming better” The views and landscape of Wyoming are stunning. Yellow Stone is vast, and we only saw a small portion but we appreciated the uniqueness and understanding that a 2-hour drive through it wasn’t going to do it justice. We did see geysers, though!
We continued to Jackson hole where we stopped at Teton Village where we went horseback riding in the Wyoming scenery we were admiring all day. It was magical! what a great way to experience life here. My horse was kind of done before we got started. I got scolded for not properly gesturing him to keep moving. Matt was a natural and everyone was impressed by his handling.
If that wasn’t enough of a fun filled day, we packed in one more thing! We signed up to go star gazing on a personal tour. We were so pumped to see all the stars. The moon, however, had other plans. It was like, I’m going to put on a light show! and it did. We even got to take a picture of our shadows! It was bright and in charge but we made the most of that experience and got to learn a lot about stars and see some planets and the moon through a super huge telescope! It was freezing but that didn’t deter us too much. Matt was geeking out! I’m glad he had an opportunity to lean into the science on our trip!
