Mid West Part I

So we went on an adventure!  We decided to travel more middle of the US vs our typical around-the-edge states.  Man, what a sight.  This part of the country is beautiful and I feel we’ve been missing out a bit just now seeing it.  We did a 4 state trip. Started in Montana, then Wyoming, followed by Idaho and Utah.  It was our normal style.  Lots of coverage in a short period.  Even with that though, we had some quality, memory bank moments.

First Montana

Flew into Missoula late Thursday night and settled into our hotel.

The next day we got up and ventured around this cute town.  We toured their downtown, eat some amazing food (Lillian still talks about the grilled cheese she had), drive through University of Montana, and finally ride the famous carrousel before heading to Bozeman. Fun story, Natalie got to ride beside this extremely annoying man who could have literally sat any where else but chose right night to Natalie (our fam and his fam were the only ones riding).  He then for no reason at all perpetually yells YEEHAW through the whole ride.  Natalie was like what is this dude! haha!

The drive to Bozeman was beautiful and we rode in comfort!  The rental place upgraded us to a fancy SUV which made the overall trip so much more comfortable. We were able to get to Bozeman early enough to do some additional exploring. We found this adorable local bookstore that kept us immersed for a while, saw the high school marching band play through downtown after the big football game and lastly, we ended the night with a play that I think we all needed to experience.  The Caucasian Chalk Circle performed by Nervous Theater was amazing.  It was a interactive play and Lillian got the pleasure of actually joining in at the end!
