New Years Eve 2017

2017. I’m glad we went through this year, however, so glad you’re out.  2017 was a trying year for sure.  Unexpected layoff at the beginning of the year led to a job separation for me and had me looking for a new adventure.  14 years with the same company left me a bit rusty in job hunting but with some ups and downs I landed a new gig, that overall, has been the best thing that has happened to us job wise.  One example: first year the girls haven’t had to go to daycare for Christmas Break!  WIN! My only regret is that I didn’t choose to leave sooner when life sucked in my old role.  Thankfully for me, my family rocks.  My friends too. Lots of love and support while we went through this bubble of odd.  I can honestly say we did this as a team.

So far, 2018 looks ridiculously promising and for the first time in a while, I’m really excited as to what it has in store for us.  2018, we’re coming for you! Let’s make it one for the books!

Trying to find a trendy theme for 2017 that was neutral in nature was HARD!  So solar eclipse it was, glasses and all, and then with no glasses to represent those fools that didn’t quite understand the meaning of don’t look directly at the sun.. I swear, every year we get better at acting! ;) You’ll see. It’s Emmy material.

Then we settled in to watch the entertainment and enjoy our night.

Then the countdown began, grapes and confetti poppers!  Happy New YEAR!
