It was an Americana theme play and my front row kid did amazing, even with the kid next to her hitting her in the face with his flag repeatedly since he was so excited about waving it! I wish I had that on video. Matt, Lillian and I were dying of laughter. We even got Natalie to snicker on stage. I guess the music moved him!
I was more amazed at Natalie’s performance since when we took her home we found that she was feverish. An early wake up let us confirm she came down with something and I ended up staying home with her the next day due to her high grade fever.
She took the saying “the show must go on” literally and willed herself through it.
