This year it was just us, and we tried our best to live up to the previous years’ traditions. It was hotter than usual so the girls actually got to swim outside which was a huge bonus! We visited the beach early one foggy morning. We paid tribute to Chris. My soul needed that. We were able to get the girl’s caricature’s done which was great! Karate kids this time! We even got to meet up with Lillian’s best friend from school in Florida which was a nice treat. This tradition we started 7 years ago will never be the same, but is one we want to continue with. Next year, hopefully mom and dad will be able to join us again to celebrate Veteran’s Day.
