Georgia Aquarium

This happened this weekend!  My parents made their way to our place for the weekend and we were finally able to take my dad to the Georgia Aquarium for his birthday! Only 6 months late, but who’s counting!  It was amazing!  We, being true to form, got there when it opened so we had some time before the big crowds came in.  2015-01-04_00032015-01-04_0002

We hit up the Ocean Voyager exhibit first since we knew that would be the most popular and it was breathtaking.  Simply awesome. By far, all of ours most favorite.

Then we headed to the Tropical Diver. It was neat seeing the divers cleaning the the inside of the tank. The jelly fish and sea horses were cool and we also learned that spider crabs are pretty freaky.

Cold Water Quest was our next stop and we spent some time looking at the penguins and the beluga whales. A cute little otter was sleeping and sucking it’s paw.

River Scout had turtles and piranhas!

Sea Monsters Revealed was our last stop.  It was like Bodies but for penguins and sea life.  Very cool!

The only one we didn’t go see was Dolphin Tales, but we didn’t mind, we’ll have to do that one another day.
