Mobile Botanical Gardens

This weekend we had a chance to tour a small portion of Mobile while Emily, Matt’s sister, toured Spring Hill College where she will be attending in the fall.  We decided on staying close by, and luckily for us, there are a lot of fun things to do within a small radius!  We started off with “brunch” (late breakfast) at Whistle Stop Bar & Grill and then went on our way to the Mobile Botantical Gardens.  We were one of two families there, so it was quite serene and we took our time going through it and hanging out.  We headed out to check out the museum nearby but their children’s section was closed so we toured the gift shop instead.  The girls picked out some binoculars and we were on our way.  Next stop, the ice cream shop! We enjoyed some tasty treats from Marble Slab. Before we knew it, it was time to get Emily.  On the way home we headed to The Tin Cow for a great dinner and a walk through downtown Pensacola.  We headed back just in time to see the sun set over the Pensacola bridge.  It was by far one of the busiest weekend days we’ve had in a while, but it was pretty awesome!
