Happy New Year 2012

Alas, my favorite holiday has come and gone!  The kids actually made it to midnight and they were still going strong at 1:30!  ;)  We prepared our New Years Eve feast of coconut chicken, black eyed peas and collard greens.  I know, not traditional, but we decided to have food we liked! Throughout the day, we took Jell-o shots (virgin for the kids of course) and toasted to different things, family, a new year, each other whatever the kids came up with.  We face timed my parents and rung in the new year with them and then did the same thing with my brothers.  Nothing like feeling like they were right there celebrating with you face to face.

2012 was a good year and I’m ready to see what 2013 brings!  I hope everyone was able to bring in the new year in style!

I got the idea for this picture but as you can see it was hard to keep our composure as we were trying to party our hearts out!  I think my favorite part is Charlotte in the top 3 frames. She was like will not allow my people to disturb my lounge time with their silliness.
