Our Valentines

So now that Matt and I have lost the pressure of Valentine’s Day and made it a family affair it has turned into such a great day! :)  I got home before everyone on Monday and I had a chance to get the table decorations and put their cute little valetine outfit on their chair since we knew they would get their share of candy at school. Soon after I got everything out for dinner, everyone got home. Once we got things settled, we turned on some fun dancing music and we danced around while we made dinner.  Matt and I even got a little slow dancing in. Made my heart skip a beat or two.  It’s nice to get those little moments carved in to a pretty crowded schedule.

We had our traditional pasta meal (it’s a tradition now that it’s two years in a row!) but this time we actually had heart shaped pasta.  We ate by candlelight and just had a good time.  I was too caught up in all the fun that I forgot to take pictures!  I even forgot to take pictures of Natalie wearing Lillian’s Valentine’s dress that day.  I guess I was too wrapped up in the moment to realize it.  I could let it go, but my anal retentive ways won’t let me so I will have to dress Natalie in the dress again this week and get a picture! :)

Matt and Lillian did make cupcakes the day before from scratch so here’s some pictures for the post.
