Ross Family Week 2010

We had our annual Ross Family week earlier this month! Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Sam and Aunt Emily came down to meet the newest addition and of course spend some time with everyone. Luckily they came down Memorial weekend so Matt was able to have some time off with them as well! We spent the first weekend catching up and enjoying everyone’s company which was very nice.

Memorial Day we drove out to Pensacola Naval Air Museum and spent some time looking at all the neat planes and viewing the IMAX show. Lillian LOVED being able to get in some of planes and pretend to fly. As far as the IMAX show, she kept it comical for Matt and me by saying "This show only has planes, planes, planes. All day long!" "I don’t like this show" very humorous. Thankfully, they had it pretty loud so we were the only lucky ones to hear her dissatisfaction! After the museum we headed to Famous Dave’s for a barbeque feast. You may think I’m exaggerating but no, seriously, it was soooo much food. We ate on it, took some home, ate on it, and still had leftovers when everyone left!

Tuesday we had our first official beach trip of the year and to make it more memorable, Natalie’s first beach trip ever! She slept right through it in her car seat but she still managed to get sand on her toes and face. How that was managed I don’t know!

Wednesday & Thursday Matt went back to work so the rest of us enjoyed some shopping. Lillian and Natalie got some really cute matching outfits. The joys of having two girls!!

Friday we went to Chuck E Cheese! Lillian didn’t know about it at first but once she got warmed up she couldn’t get enough of the games! Her favorite was a Kentucky Derby ride where you had to get on a horse and look at the screen to ride it through the race. She thought it was the coolest thing ever. I think 85% of her tokens were used on this ride. :)

Saturday we all hopped in the car again and headed to T.T Wentworth Museum in Pensacola. We wanted to do the walking tour that they have of historic Pensacola but unfortunately, it started raining. So our trip was cut short. That night we celebrated Grandma’s birthday at a local Asian restaurant.

Sunday we had to say goodbye to everyone. Lillian held it together really good but once they left she fell on the couch and just cried! She hates saying goodbye! So we did what any parents would do, we called them up and made everyone feel guilty for leaving! ;)

The week went by fast… hopefully, next year it’ll be a longer trip!
