One of the perks of my job (which there are many) is that we often have costume character events. Seeing how I work with the advertising department that sells these events, our department gets VIP treatment when it comes to meeting the special friends. Last Saturday, Matt and my mom took Lillian to one of the local hospitals here for their yearly Teddy Bear Clinic. This event is fun for the kids but also educational for the parents giving them great information on healthy living, etc.
They got there 30 or so minutes before the event and they got to go "backstage" and meet Dora and Diego. Lillian was one of the few that showed no fear of them. She just kept hugging and hugging them. Telling them that she sees them on her TV. She was beside herself! :) After the meet and greet, she got her face painted, played on a fire truck, jumped in a jumping house and got to meet some pretty cool animals first hand. By the time she got home, she was already asleep!
