Baby Bird Is Here!

Natalie decided to make her debut last Monday, April 19th instead of the scheduled April 27th date.  At 2:32pm, weighing in at 7lbs 6ozs and 19.5 inches Natalie joined us by not so scheduled c-section. :) I started having contractions early Monday morning and decided to head to the hospital around 11am to have someone take a look and make sure I wasn’t just feeling odd.  Since I didn’t have any contractions with Lillian this was all pretty new!

They hooked me up to the monitors and determined she was definitely coming!  Matt joined me and after being held up by an emergency surgery we headed to the operating table to meet our baby girl.  Everything went smoothly and we’ve been home since Wednesday morning.  My parents were able to come down the day of her delivery which was a great help!

My mom has been with me since then and she has been a LIFE SAVER!  Nothing like having an extra hand when you’re trying to create new routines and manage old ones! Couldn’t have made it through the week without her!  Lillian has been wonderful!  She adores her baby sister and seriously can’t stay away from her!  Exactly what we hoped for, well, maybe less "possessive" of her baby, but either way a great reaction.

Natalie has been a true joy!  I know they say the second child is usually better (if you had a uncooperative baby first time around) or worse (if you had a saint the first time around) but she has been almost identical to Lillian.  Very quiet, content, sleepy baby.  Guess I know how to grow them! Lillian and Natalie look so much alike as babies except for the hair color.  I have a blonde and a brunette!  Here’s some pictures for you all!
