Lillian seems to really enjoy her sandbox. We spent the rest of yesterday afternoon outside and then most of today as well. We have built volcanos, sandcastles, and have even taken turns burying our legs in the sand. It’s nice that it’s big enough for all of us to enjoy it with her. Lillian kept telling Matt and I thank you for her sandbox so of course that made our efforts all worth while. Maggie and Charlotte have taken to it too. Charlotte jumped right in and started digging. You have to watch out because she has a mean back kick and sand falls all over the place. Maggie, on the other hand, just got comfortable this afternoon putting her feet in the sand. Yesterday, she would get on the ledge and then jump into our laps to observe. Today, she faced her fear of being dirty and put her feet in the sand.
A nice side effect for me is that I’m finally getting some sun! It’s nice to be outside after being housed up all winter. Looks like this is something we will enjoy for a while.
