Ms Kim, Lillian’s teacher, has incorporated yoga moves such as blowing out the candle to help the kids calm down before a meal or nap. They are also praticing holding their hand up and counting to five with their fingers while they breath deeply to calm themselves when they are not happy. From her feedback, this has gone very well in keeping the kids calm.
While we were at the daycare function last weekend, Ms Kim asked if we had seen her blow out the candle. Of course, at that moment, Lillian had no desire to act out the movement but we did finally get to see her do it, and it’s so cute! Take a look yourself.
