Father’s Day

I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so we decided to not do anything.  Well, sort of.

It really started on Friday when Lillian brought home a card and a mug from the daycare.  The mug had cookies in it, and they were shaped like this: XOXO. :-)

We started the day off with donuts and coffee (milk for Lillian), then lounged around in our comfy clothes for a couple of hours.  Well, technically, we never got out of our comfy clothes.

Anyway, we then watched four movies on DVD that we had bought the day before.  They were all pretty good.  We made the movie watching a very laid back experience.  We pulled the matress off the futon in the guest room and put it in the living room in place of the coffee table.  Then we all reclined on the matress, ate movie theatre-type candy and watched the movies.

Barbara went out and got us Whataburger for lunch, something we hadn’t done in a while.  It was just as good as we remembered!  That was after the first two movies.  Then we lounged about for a little while, and started watching the other two movies.  We made pizza for dinner (Freschetta – it was pretty good), which was yet another lazy-day kind of meal.

Overall, it was a very good Father’s Day.  We all got to take things easy and relax for a day.  I’m looking forward to doing it again next year!
