MTI (Manufacturing Technology, Inc.), where I have worked for just over two years now, named me as the Employee of the Quarter for January – March, 2008. They gave me a plaque, a bonus check ($150), and a sign for my own parking spot.
There was also a letter from the company President that pointed out all the various things I’ve done to help MTI. I didn’t realize I had done that much work – which I guess is a good thing. I actually enjoy my work, so even when I do all kinds of extra things I don’t feel like I’m being overworked. I’m sure they appreciate that too, since they can get me to do more work without paying me more! ;)
Speaking of which, I should be up for a promotion in the next month or so. Hopefully, it will go smoothly and I’ll be making a little more money with a new job title and still enjoying what I do. Actually, because I do more than just the usual QA Tech things, my title will be changing from QA Technician II to something like ‘Product Integrity Quality Engineer’. Wish me luck!
