Last Friday Lillian had her first field trip. They set it up a little differently this time where because of space consideration, we weren’t able to ride on the bus. I think it actually turned out better for Matt and I. We were able to go have breakfast, get to the Gulfarium a little early and just walk down the beach enjoying each other’s company. The quietness didn’t last long though! As soon as the kids arrived, both buses jam-packed, the craziness began. Matt commented during the excitement of them entering, how they were acting like they had never seen fish before! :)
We saw sea otters, sea lions, seals, sting rays, aligators, turtles and of course, dolphins on our trip. Beyond the chaos, and the hungry kids (it was an hour past their lunch time) it was a great time. Matt and I decompressed over lunch before we headed to check Lillian and Natalie out. Made it home hours before a typical Friday so overall, a good day!
