So Lillian’s school has a tradition of honoring students once a quarter that have been nominated by their teachers in one of 3 different categories; All Time High (displays a can do attitude and doesn’t quit), Pawsitive Paws (demonstrates a positive attitude and is helpful), and Arts & Athletics (has shown growth in the arts or in their sport). Each teacher nominates one student in each grade and the students are recognized in a special ceremony where they are able to sign the paw of the category they were nominated. Their signed names stays there all year until they paint over it for the new school year to start again.
Lillian was nominated for the Pawsitive Paws for Q1 and I was so proud of her. Most of all, I was so happy I was able to go and be a part of her ceremony. I told Matt I wasn’t prepared for how proud I would be. I may have shed a few tears. So far Middle School has been good to Lillian. Can’t wait to see how she continues to grow and develop as the year progresses.
