For February we kind of had a hard time deciding what we wanted to do. It was so cold in the beginning of February and we had some planned activities as well, which didn’t leave too many free days for us to do something. Since this weekend was the last weekend for us to fulfill our family day out, we found out that the Emerald Grande was having a Mardi Gras parade Saturday and headed there.
We left the house a little early and did a bit of shopping before we worked our way to the festivities. We met a friend out there with her little girls and walked around The Harborwalk and enjoyed all the activities they had out. Right before 2pm, we found our spot and got ready for the parade. Natalie zonked out before it even started so Matt and she found a nice place in the shade to hang out while Lillian and I stayed amongst the crowd and grabbed for beads. Yeah, I think he totally planned that so he wouldn’t have to deal with the people. But hey I had fun! Well, after I would say 40 minutes of holding Lillian and Matt holding Natalie, we were done! It had already been such a long day and it was freakin’ hot for February! High 70s! We gathered our things and headed home.
We kept up with the family time and decided not to cook dinner, but ordered pizza instead. We watched our recorded American Idol and hung out in our PJs the rest of the day.
This day wasn’t as eventful as January but it was something out of our normal schedule and routine and after all that’s all that matters. It was nice to get some pre-Spring weather and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
