Natalie had her first homecoming! She wasn’t planning to go, but when Peyton asked a week before, she jumped at the chance. She skipped the Texas mum tradition and the big proposal, and just appreciated it for what it was.
Peyton and his mom picked her up right on time, planning to eat at Italy Express. Turns out, that’s no longer a thing, so Plan B it was. Off to Chili’s. After dinner, they headed to the dance, where Natalie ended up teaching Peyton how to two-step. All in all, it was a pretty memorable first date and first dance rolled into one.
She looked absolutely stunning, and the two of them coordinated perfectly with their purple and plum. My favorite stories Natalie shared were from dinner, when Peyton’s friends asked how he managed to “pull her” and he turned bright red, and from the dance, when the new JROTC members kept coming up to shake her hand. She laughed, “You’re 14! Why are we shaking hands?”
