Matt’s sister, Emily, and her wife, Nichole moved to New Mexico last year and we have not had a chance to visit yet. We decided to finally just go. After looking at different flight options, we chose to just hop in the car and drive there. There were interesting enough stops along the way that would make that a worthwhile trip and save some flight expenses. win-win!
Since Texas is HUGE we spent the first day still in Texas. The first stop was Amarillo which was a lot less busy than we expected, but OK overall. We’re still figuring out why so many songs are written about Amarillo.
The next day we got up and headed to Cadillac Park before leaving Amarillo. Now, this place was cool. A unique art installation in the middle of cow country where you go with a can of spray paint in hand and add to the current art. Very cool. Since we drove, we had already planned ahead, and were ready to paint the cars hot pink.
