You know, when it feels so close you don’t make time. Then, when you leave you make room. That’s what happened. This trip was a bit of a awakening. We decided it was time to just do and show what lived so close but never visited. First stop was the University of Alabama. The kids know this was the place their parents went to school and ‘grew up’. It’s also the football team we root for and our big tie to Chris and Abuelo. It was time to show them where we spent our time learning and growing. Interesting, our residencies have long been torn down but the town and look still felt the same. We finally took the kids to our school. High five moment for sure.
