One of the things that made the decision to move that much easier for Lillian is that her best friend was also in the process of moving out of state. What are the odds? Not sure, but I’ll take it as it made the transition and the similar experiences beneficial to each other. Before she moved, we had her fly to Texas for Labor Day weekend. It was a short visit but I think both of them needed it. We spent some time exploring downtown Grapevine. Pretty cute little town! We even went to a British Emporium. The coolest part is when we were doing a week of food from unique places when we still lived in Alpharetta, I ordered from this place. I never thought I would be stepping into their storefront in person. Life is funny.
We ended the visit with a ‘fancy’ night out. The kids ordered a Texas sized dessert as the final farewell.
