We’re trying to be more intentional with our time and get out there and explore more with the kids. So, we booked an Airbnb in NC in the middle of nowhere. No internet, no central air, no TV. Just us in a glorified camping trip. At first the kids were a bit iffy about not being around their favorite electronics but I have to tell you, we ended up having the best time. Not only was the cabin super cozy, but the land around it was amazing. It’s not every day that you can walk 10 feet to a waterfall. We played cards, darts, walked and just were.
We did make the most out of our trip and made a few stops along the way which added to the awesome memories of our 3 day adventure
First stop Babyland General Hospital! This place did not disappoint. Full of super cute Cabbage Patch Kids! The only downside was choosing one. Like it was hard. The kids ended up deciding on one each and were eager to bring Haley Jade and Wesley James home. :)
Next stop was Helen GA to the Alpine Village Shoppes which was super fun. We enjoyed exploring and visiting the little shops. We ended up with some pretty great things and plan to go back soon when it’s not so hot!
After a little grocery run we headed up to our little slice of woods. Like I said, it didn’t disappoint! Hiking, S’mores and just us time. Perfect family time!
Just like that our trip was done and it was time to head home. Before we did though, we stopped at an apple orchard along the way. Let’s just say, it wasn’t our favorite one but we missed the season by a weekend. Regardless, we got to hold some chicks, pet some goats and pick apples so it wasn’t a complete “eh” of a last stop.
