So we move to GA and we get hit by a tornado. :) Small one, but nonetheless, a tornado. It seems it went right through our neighborhood. Some time in the early morning a tornado came threw and wiped out one of our trees and then cracked the other. When it was finally bright enough outside we were able to access the damage. We were one of the few in our neighborhood that had bigger damage than just limbs in the yard. We had all our neighbors come by and introduce themselves which was nice to get to know everyone. Not only that but I guess all the tree professionals got word and our street became a tree truck parade. Stopping at the houses with damage and giving quotes and business cards. I think it was 3pm when we it stopped raining and at around 3:30pm they were already working on clearing out the tree. By 6pm my front yard was all cleared out! That’s what I call service! They came out the following day to finish chipping the tree on the side. But in no time, our street looked normal. A few homes got hit harder than ours so we’re definitely not complaining about our circumstances. A couple of trees with minimal damage to the house is better than a tree falling on the house. Of course, I had to document the journey from start to finish!
This is the damage once the skies cleared and we could go outside
And here’s our bare house. :( On a positive note, I asked them to keep the truck in the front so we could carve our names into it. Our little piece of history. Next spring, we’ll begin looking to see what we want to plant!
