We went on an adventure to pick apples this weekend at Mercier Orchards. The drive was so pretty heading up to the mountains! Country like roads all the way.
When we first got there, the parking lot, was already full and we were there 15 minutes after it opened! Fortunately for us, we didn’t let that deter our trip and we made it out to pick our apples. Once you were out on the orchard it was so big that you didn’t run each other so it made it feel like a personal experience, which met our needs nicely! The kids loved tasting the apples and picking them. They had 4 different kinds ready for picking and that allowed us to get variety. We’re already planning what we’re going to do with our loot! But, that will be another post. I had a plan of getting our Fall pictures done there so we took a few but decided we’d concentrate on the experience and finish up our pictures at home.
After a few hours we made the long ride home. The girls slept so Matt and I enjoyed the quiet time and took in the scenery. Once we got home, the girls went out and played and we took a nap. :) I didn’t realize how exhausting apple picking could be! After our recovery we took the apples outside to finish up our Fall pictures.
