First birthday in GA and it turned out pretty great. We started with a trip to DaVinci’s for donuts, then off to the movies to see Rio 2, a Hibachi lunch and back home for Butterfinger banana cupcakes and presents. Those that may be skeptical on the cake choice, they turned out pretty tasty I must say. It was like eating banana bread with pieces of Butterfinger all through it and on top. Yeah I even liked these!
Though it wasn’t our typical birthday tradition we’ve built over the years it was better than expected and we had a great time. Emily made it up to see us so we had family to help celebrate her day which is always nice. Natalie felt the love in the wonderful gifts she received. We have some great people in our lives! Since Rio 2 had just come out we brought a little Brazilian flair to Natalie’s celebration and it turned out awesome!
Apartment life does have some challenges when it comes to gift giving. We were going to get Natalie her big girl power wheels but we didn’t see the point if she wasn’t able to drive it around so we gave her an IOU coupon for her to redeem when we move. She didn’t seem too disappointed. :)
