John, Katelynn and Dylan came to stay at my parents house for a week a few weeks ago. It was Lillian’s last week off before school started so we made the best of it. Lillian, Natalie and I went up to Montgomery and spent some good quality time with everyone. Matt had to work so that was a little bit of a bummer having to leave him for a week. Dylan and Lillian are the same age, 2 months apart and when they get together they go nonstop from sun up to sun down. They are inseperable even at night since they had nightly sleep overs! This visit, Natalie was older and was able to participate a lot more in the activities. She kept up pretty darn good with all their fun and she was right there with them trying to do everything they were doing. I was able to spend a lot of time with Katleynn, the first child I ever loved as my own. I really enjoyed that! When they lived in Montgomery, we were together all the time and it was really cool to have a piece of that back, even if it was just for a week.
The kids also enjoyed spending time with Abuela and Abuelo. They made sure they got into the fun of their day as well. Abuela didn’t shy away either as she slip n slided, played chase and pretty much reached into her inner child that week and played. It was awesome!
The kids stayed pretty busy. We went to the museum, played in the park, tennis with Abuela, slip n slides, pool, mud fun, walks, visit with my best friend and everything inbetween. I think everyone enjoyed their time away. The only thing that would have made it better is if everyone was able to come. Next year I hope we can all get together!
We even made time for some cousin pictures! I’m telling you what, these pictures really made me miss Jaylynn, the missing link to the Traver-Ross cousin clan!
