2012 Year of Projects #4

Have you ever had a vision in your head of what you wanted and when you finally saw something similiar to it and it was way out of reach money wise? Well, that happened to me when I went on the search for some frames I wanted.  For the garage door hallway I wanted to make an impact since this is the door we use every day to start and end our day.  I also wanted something that was meaningful but wasn’t high maintenance, meaning something I wouldn’t be compelled to change out the pictures often.  So I took the following pictures to put in my frames that still lived in my head.

Well, I painted the hallway and got it all ready to decorate and we got sick.  All of us. Fast forward a couple of weeks and this project was back on my mind. After realizing buying already made frames was not going to happen at the size I wanted (I got the pictures above printed at 20×24), I asked my super awesome handyman, aka Matt, to see if he could do it.  Well he could and that was awesome!  We went to Lowes, and picked out our supplies and in half a Saturday I had these!

My glorious 30×34 frames!  It definitely has the impact I wanted and it’s not a bad view when I wake up in the morning!

More pictures to come on the rest of the hallway but I had to share my frames while I still put the rest of the pieces together!
