Chris came back from his tour in Afghanistan since leaving our birthday weekend in February. It’s been a long 6 months but we’re just happy he’s home safe. We were able to watch him come in again, like we did the first time around a few years back. It’s such an overwhelming experience, and so hard to explain the joy and relief you feel for everyone coming off the plane. Those who are reunited with their friends and family and those that come back with no one to greet them home. Both sides, touching in their own way.
Chris will be out of the Navy soon so hopefully, we won’t have to experience this again for the third time.
