Matt’s Father’s day began a lot like last year; sitting around the house with Matt and Lillian wearing their matching t shirts. We decided that next year we’ll begin the tradition of adding to it every year so we have new memories on the shirt. I’m looking forward to that!
The thing that made it different and special this year is that we got to spend it with both Matt’s family and mine! My parents were in town visiting our friends in Niceville and they came over before they headed home to have breakfast with us. We went to Tokoyo, a hibatchi restaurant by night but a great breakfast place during the day! After a really good Father’s day breakfast my parents were on their way home. We lounged around for a little while before Matt’s mom, little sister Emily, and his brother Sam came over for a cook out. That pretty much sums up our Father’s day. Family time, relaxing, and eating. You can’t beat that.
