I realized I didn’t post about my Mother’s Day and since this website has become a little family journal I would rather be late then not tell our story! Most of the Mother’s Day fun happened on Saturday. We started off by heading to Kohls to pick up some new swimsuits and then we ate at a local bakery before heading to the beach. On the way home we stopped by Tropical Smoothie and got a refreshing smoothie for the drive home. It was Lillian’s first experience with a smoothie and she couldn’t decide if she liked Matt’s or my smoothie better so she kept alternating flavors. We spent the rest of the night relaxing with friends. Sunday I woke up and Lillian and Matt both wished me a Happy Mother’s Day and then they got to making me my giant cookie – chocolate, butterscotch, coconut bars. Yum! The rest of the day we lounged around the house.
Lillian’s class also made the mom’s a wonderful Mother’s Day gift this year! We got a flower pot filled with dirt cake and a cute little flower and poem to go with it. Lillian and I ate on that most of the day. I didn’t think they could have done as good as last year but yet again her school surprised me! It was all so sweet. See, it was worth documenting!
