Every year the Niceville Children’s Park and library decorate for the holidays with awesome lighting vignettes throughout the property. My friend from work let us know about it last year but we didn’t make it out there. This year we were so excited about being able to go and show Lillian all the decorations. We started off by going to the park and letting Lillian play around, then we headed to the library since it wasn’t yet dark enough to see all the lights. Lillian loved the library! We looked at the chrismtas village they had set up, read some books and colored a bookmark. I think we’re going to become regulars there pretty soon. Good thing we went there when it wasn’t crowded, Lillian hasn’t had a lot of practice with her library voice!
It was finally time to go outside to look at the lights and it was pretty awesome. They even had a model train station set up in one of the buildings and
we got to see Thomas the Train make his way around the village. We were pretty much all by ourselves the whole time so we took our
time; not to mention we’ve been having pretty warm weather here so
it was a nice night to be walking around. You can see pictures of the lights under Winter ’08.
