One of the parents at the school has a farm not too far from Defuniak Springs and they invited the school to come and have a fun day at their country home. We were able to get to know some of the parents and enjoy the country life for the day. We went on a scavenger hunt on a trail in the woods, fed goats, played on the swing and ate hot dogs and smores. Overall, a pretty enjoyable day! Lillian particularly enjoyed the swing and it was hard for her to share with the other kids, and it probably didn’t help that her nap was cut by almost half since we got to the farm in the middle of it. Even with her two year old attitude, she seemed to enjoy herself and have fun running and exploring her new surroundings. When we left she was so pooped she barely made it out of the driveway before she fell asleep!
