We had my best friend Hillary from high school come down with her husband, Steven for a couple of days. We weren’t sure how the weekend was going to turn out because of the weather, but it was very nice! The beach was perfect. There were quite a few people out but other than that you couldn’t have asked for anything else. Lillian loved getting into the water. We mostly stayed out in a little
sandbar and watched the school of fish and the jelly fish swim by.
Lillian kept trying to chase the seagulls around the beach which kept
them away from us so overall that was a good game. We hung out most of Saturday afternoon at the beach and then headed to The Scoreboard for dinner.
This morning we got up and went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast and then to the Crestview Park for some swinging and pictures. Lillian loved the big swings! We could get her so high, and she just kept giggling and asking to go "up to the sky, mommy". I tried my hand at the swinging and I got so motion sick! But it was all worth it when I had Lillian on my lap backwards and we were swinging. I was happy to have that experience.
After the park, Hillary and I went to Destin and left Matt and Steven take care of Lillian while we shopped. We went to Old Time Pottery and got some neat things. When we got home we saw Lillian sleeping in the living room with all her toys around her, her milk, and her toy cell phone. They were playing tennis on the wii. They said she just fell over and went to sleep. She took a 2 1/2 hour nap at home! She must have been so exhausted.
We’re planning on a rainy Monday and since we both have the day off, we’re just going to relax and watch some movies. I can’t wait!
