We really appreciate all your thoughts and support yesterday. Lillian did excellent with her ear tube surgery. It took about 10 minutes from start to finish (though Matt and I can both say those were the longest 10 minutes of our lives) The nurses and doctors at the Emerald Coast Surgery Center were all so nice and helpful it made it easier to be at ease.
There was a child before Lillian who was having the same thing done and he came out screaming bloody murder so we were already preparing ourselves for that heartache, but Lillian was a model patient! The nurses woke her up and she started whining a little but as soon as she got in my arms she was just fine. She took her cup and the nurses said she was ready to go.
Lillian took a little while to get back to her normal self but within 30 minutes she was up and laughing and eating at Whataburger! We didn’t even need to give her any Tylenol since the surgery. We’re so glad we decided to get this done when she is less likely to remember and we can go ahead and hopefully start our road to an ear infection free life!
